The Iraqi Business Summit, titled Al-Faw: An Opportunity, has officially commenced at the Al-Faw Grand Port in Basra Governorate, drawing participation from official delegations, diplomatic missions, and both local and international investment firms. The event is widely regarded as one of the most significant economic milestones in Iraq’s modern history.

The opening ceremony featured a performance of the national anthem, followed by a documentary presentation highlighting the port’s achievements. Formal remarks were delivered by key figures, including His Excellency Mr. Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, Minister of Transport, and Dr. Eng. Farhan Al-Fartousi, Director General of the General Company for Ports of Iraq.

The summit included a series of specialized sessions addressing strategic integration between the port and the Development Road, investment prospects in energy and industrial cities, and the role of banking institutions in project financing.
