The Acting Director General of the General Company for Ports of Iraq, Captain Alaa Al-Akeeli, chaired today an extensive meeting in his office, attended by the company’s Technical Deputy, Mr. Abdul-Sada Khalaf Finjan, along with several department heads concerned with the execution of government program projects and their stages of completion.
During the meeting, Al-Akeeli emphasized the importance of adhering to the directives of the Minister of Transport, Mr. Wahib Al-Hassani, which stress the need to accelerate the pace of work on government program projects in alignment with the ministry’s development plans, and to ensure implementation according to the highest approved technical and engineering standards.
The meeting included a review of progress rates for ongoing projects and a discussion of key challenges and obstacles that may arise during the work phases. It concluded with an affirmation of intensifying efforts and enhancing coordination among the specialized departments to guarantee completion of the projects within the specified timelines, thereby contributing to the development of Iraq’s port infrastructure and strengthening its operational efficiency.
